Leadhabit vs a spreadsheet for LinkedIn leads
Most people start with a spreadsheet, and for a while that is correct. It stops working at a predictable point.
| Leadhabit | Spreadsheet | |
|---|---|---|
| Capturing a lead | One click, in the feed | Copy, switch tab, paste, repeat |
| Keeps the original post | Yes, automatically | Only if you paste it |
| Remembers the search | Yes | No |
| Hides noise in the feed | Yes, permanently | No |
| Follow-up reminders | Built in, surfaces on the day | A date column you must remember to sort |
| Works while you scroll | Yes | No |
| Custom formulas and pivots | No | Yes |
| Cost | Free, paid sync | Free |
Where spreadsheet wins
A spreadsheet is genuinely better if you want custom columns, pivot tables, or formulas. Leadhabit is deliberately opinionated and will not do those things.
The short version
If you save fewer than about five leads a month, keep the spreadsheet. Past that, the copy-and-paste tax is what quietly kills the habit.
Start the habit this week.
Install it, run one search, and save five people. That is the whole first session.
