A LinkedIn follow-up sequence that is not annoying

Three touches, weeks apart, each carrying something new.

Updated 2026-07

A sequence is not a cadence of reminders. Each touch should be able to stand on its own as something worth receiving.

The shape

  1. Touch one: the favour. No ask.
  2. Three to four weeks later, touch two: something new that is relevant to what they said.
  3. Four to six weeks later, touch three: a soft, specific offer.
  4. Then stop. Move them to dormant and revisit in six months.

Plan the intervals with the follow-up planner.

Start the habit this week.

Install it, run one search, and save five people. That is the whole first session.
