Staying inside LinkedIn's rules

The line between tooling and automation, and which side to stay on.

LinkedIn's user agreement prohibits software that acts on your behalf — sending connection requests, messaging, or scraping at scale. Enforcement is uneven, which is exactly what makes it dangerous: the tools work until the account is restricted, and the account is the asset.

The line

  • Safe: reading what is already on your screen, taking notes, reminding you to act.
  • Not safe: clicking for you, sending for you, or collecting profiles in the background.

Why it also does not work

Set aside the risk for a moment. Automated outreach reads as automated. The recipients you most want — experienced operators — are the fastest to spot it and the least forgiving. The efficiency you gain is paid for in the only currency that matters here.

Leadhabit never sends anything. No auto-connect, no auto-message, no background collection. It is a note-taking layer over what you can already see. Read the responsible use policy.

Start the habit this week.

Install it, run one search, and save five people. That is the whole first session.
